My experience growing up is that a feeling of democracy is fostered in many environments. "Speak up and let your voice be heard."

Then you get into the workplace and realize that no matter how vehemently you disagree with the boss and know down to your core that what s/he is saying is wrong, it doesn't matter. It's not a democracy.

Anyone ever been slapped with that reality?

They can range for blue to green to gray normally (no one has been able to decide on one color), and I really like them. They're along the darker types of colors, but they never look brown, just dark. I really want to show them off. What's the easiest way for that? (If it helps, I am an emo-ish type of person)

it's kind of a either agree with me or be wrong thing

it also happens when someone whos different speaks up on something like if this person talks a certain way then there uneducated or says this or that or dresses a certain way

i mean how does any of that reflect the level of a persons intelligence let alone wether they graduated school or not

Why or why not?


To me, age is just a number and doesn't effect how I see someone. I'm currently in a relationship with a man who is 20 years older than me, and it's the best relationship I've ever been in. When I look at him, I don't see the age difference; I only see that I love him with all my heart!♥
