When you hear their music, who pours their soul into each note, so that it's almost like you can feel the emotion coming from the guitar?

My pick for this has got to be Paul Kossoff. He could speak through his guitar, and achieve with only a few notes what took hundreds for other players.

Many rock ballads, as we know, can be cheesy... but name one that is acceptably "cool" in your opinion, and state the reason why...

(This question was inspired by one that R&P member Spooky posted out a few days ago ... on the cheesiest rock ballads)

For instance:
I like Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" because it's the song in that famous scene in "Say Anything" where John Cusack serenades a girl with a boom box over his head...

...therefore it has a coolness factor to it and isn't cheesy

This guy is in a bar, in Jackson Mississippi I think, and his car is getting towed back to him. He has his long hair tucked under his hat when some thugs approach him and tell him to tip his hat to a lady. His hair falls out from under his hat. He kicks a guy with green teeth in the knee and accuses the guy of being a spy for the FBI.

Mine would be Richard Wrights 'Wet Dream', David Gilmours 1st album ('There's No Way Out of Here' still gives me chills).
Syd's stuff was cool too! Never really cared for Nick Mason's 'Fictitious Sports', but Roger Waters 'Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking' was worthy, and his album with Ron Geesin, 'Music From The Body' was a trip, complete with burps and farts!
What were your favorites?
