Hey there my friend. The Chili Peppers will be coming out with a new album within the next two to three years. They just finished the world tour for Stadium Arcadium and now they are doing little shows and special events around the world for good causes or like I previously stated...special events. In the meantime John Frusciante will probably release two to three more solo albums and appear as a special guest on some other artists albums. The band is not going to stop making music, Anthony stated that the route they are headed on now is like a roller coaster, it goes up and down and up and down and if you are riding it, you just don't know what to expect next. He also stated that the next Red Hot Chili Peppers album will be a short and sweet little album, like an old Beatles album, and can be listened to from start to finish while relaxing on a lunch break. So my guess is as good as everyone else, it will be about an hour long. Thanks a ton my friend, and I hope this could help,

- Jon

I dont think so. Stadium Arcadium all though its been out for a while is still new. They are still breaking records and releasing songs off of that one. I havent heard of anything else being in progress at this point.

They're still touring, plus, a few more singles will be released. It's probably going to be mid-to-late 2008 before they begin recording again.

I read somewhere that they decided to stop making music because they felt that the quality was already at an all time low so they didn't want to humiliate themselves further. I think it was their website.
