I was talking to one of my friends who was telling me that they have never bought a CD; they download everything they want from LimeWire.

I just love the whole experience of getting a new CD; because I'm young my parents pay for everything that I need, so apart from gifts and clothes the only thing I pay for is music. The album is so much better if you can go out hunting between a few different shops for the best price, then bring it home and carefully remove the plastic on the outside before opening the cover and going through all of the album artwork slowly, then putting it in your CD player and listening to it.

I do only buy albums I really want, and spend heaps of time deliberating on whether or not to buy it before I actually do, but I love the whole process. I also love knowing that I have a copy of the album that can't be deleted accidentally.

So, do you prefer to download only the songs you like, or buy the album?

(I download occasionally too, to sample a new band.)

I just realized I never asked a Bob Dylan question (that I can recall) so here we go!

PBS is playing his Live in Newport 1963-1965 right now so I got inspired :0)

Mine: "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows"

Mine is "Fat Old Sun". I just love the part where the song breaks down and the drums completely stop. It's so beautiful and magical. If you listen to it in a dark room, it almost makes you feel as if you're slipping...
What's yours?

I just heard "Enter Sandman" in the car and I was thinking about how I've seen at least 3 local bands here in Rochester play that song, and that it must be a popular choice for the local band circuits.

Do you have any other examples of songs that you think are widely chosen to be covered by the undiscovered talent out there?

Cause we all know who's over/under-rated.
This can be whether they are great or horrible bands.

ALSO, for those who read the question details, as you should, put /your/ definition of underrated and overrated (but dont list those bands).

Thanks

So any Zappa fans out there?!!
And do you take him seriously as an artist, (who was EXTREMELY talented and one of the best guitarists ever!), because his songs are funny?

I have all the Beatles studio albums, and I'd like to complete my collection. Any set that has all of them on CD? (I know the Stones have something like this)

I DO NOT want any "greatest hits" albums or anything like that, and I already have the "1" compilation of the Beatles

Would You Rather:

Have Metallica come out with a new album that is just as good as Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and And Justice For All, and they all realize that this is the stuff people want to hear. They will have gotten their creative flare back.

or

The original lineup of Guns N Roses go on live TV, reconcile, record a new album and embark on a world tour without any canceled shows.

And just for fun. would you rather go to a free linkin park concert or have Metallica and Guns N Roses beat the cr*p out of linkin park?
