thunder: dude, more means in what contest?: more means better quality, I can count fingers on my hands and feet how many bands oputhere have quality of music and lyrics. American doesn't really have goth/metal scene.
i don't think American music scene really have more than 2-4 goth bands that can be real competition with Europena goth bands.

America never had a gothic era. Europe has so much history to draw from. The European bands draw from that agelessness better than American bands

I would say European because some of the best metal is european
Cradle of Filth
Iron Maiden
ect.

80% of Americans believe in "a higher being"
In Europe.. not so much...
So, I think it's kind of obvious where more talent will come from in the genre.
