this is just a question of interest........
would you still hate MCR if you didnt have an image to go with them? do you think their image and personality makes you dislike them?

Do you think you only hate MCR because of the hype made by the annoying kids who say they saved their life,and you want to disassociate yourself with them?
or you think theyre emo(even though they arent) and you want to disassociate yourself with emos?

Would you like MCR if they were an unsigned underground band you stumbled upon and didnt class as emo, that didnt have much publicity?

So do you think, that if you knew nothing about them and just listened to the music instead of embracing the whole black parade thing, you may actually like them.....

i like mcr, im not obsessive etc but i think some people hate them for what they stand for instead of the actual music.
like when you say you hate a band, then hear an unknown song and like it, then find out its the band you said youd never listen to..

oh yes, I'm making mixtape on a 90min cassette for driving around (average 8 songs per side). the concept is songs with "burn" in them, preferably in the sense of burning things. I can't think of another song or two...
so far I've got:
"Los Angelus Is Burning" Bad Religion
"Cities Burn" Anti-Flag
"Burn It" Refused
"The Plan Was To Burn It Down" 2*sweet
"State Of The Union" Chicago
"Black Masks And Gasoline" Rise Against
it may include "Insurance?" the Higher, "Summer Shudder" AFI, "Paper Airplanes" AFI, or "Burn this city" cartel if I can't find another song.

Any Ideas?
