The news was filled this week with stories about the recent death of Hy Zaret, the composer of "Unchained Melody." But few mentioned the origin of the song, which explains the lyrics.

And someone refresh my memory: As it originally was used, did it actually have lyrics? Or were they added after the melody became popular?

I think it's a old 70's R&B song and its like"when ever you call me I'll be there,when ever you need me I'll be there" I forgot the next part but then it goes "I'll be around." It is not the Jackson 5.
