There was a lady who performed a song with lyrics that went something like this:

"Why didn't you stay? "

I have never listened to country music but I enjoyed a couple of performers on there. But this lady was performing when I turned it on.

As I have mentioned in a previous post I have been reading an Ernest Tubb biography "Ernest Tubb--The Texas Troubadour" written by Ronnie Pugh. It is a great book with a lot of information about this great legend. My question is aside from the classics and his many great songs what do you think made for his longivity in the business? He was in the country music business for nearly 50 years.

When you see the answers that others have given what is it that causes you to give that person a thumbs down? Is it because you dislike the person or you dislike their answer. Is it because you just do it no matter the answer? What would cause you to give them a thumbs up? Is it because the answer is the first one or the best one or because you like that person?

Catergorise the verse the song is based on, and why this part of the bible significantly is your qualm, as Gerry Maguire put it?

The movie Gerry Maguire is famous for such lines as "you had me at hello" and also, the famous croc, "you complete me!":No one as Christian should rely on finding their soul mate to feel love is reliant on anything other than Jesus love in Faith hope and Charity, manifest by the Holy Spirit.

So, what part of the song has words uplifting, inspiring, most exciting where you as a Christian felt moved to conviction upon an idea from that part of the bible, but personally, how did you relate to it, although possibly personal, symbolically typify what the moment meant religiously, without any intimate details.

I just couldn't stomach watching the people that they are calling Country artists these days killing the art and accepting awards for it. They even tried to entice some people that remember a time when music was real into watching by having a performance by the Eagles. It didn't work with me.
