Is it weird that i like johnny cash and i am 12. I mean people see that i am listening to him on my i.pod and either say that he is old and depressing and they have know idea why i like him or they have never heard of him. If they have heard of him they just asume that i am goth. How does listening to him make me goth?

In different times of my life it always seems like I can relate it to different songs. Lately Nobody Home by Pink Floyd has been my life in a nutshell. Other music that I would describe my other times in life would be songs like The Weight by The Band, That's The Way and The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin, Let It Be by the Beatles, I Wanna Be Sedated by the Ramones and After The Goldrush by Neil Young. There are tons more but it would take hours to remember...

I have a cousin who only listens to christian music. Her favorite is a band called Third Day. I'm not really into christian music (aside from some old Elvis gospels songs and such), but I have to say the lead singer of this band has a pretty good voice. Anyway, I was in the car with her today when a song called "Blackbird" came on. It sounded familiar and after listening to the lyrics a bit, I realized it's about the Black Crowes! I need to know everything about starting to play guitar and take lessons. Should I start with acoustic, and move on to electric. I LOVE rock music, but my brother has been playing guitar for about 5 to 6 years and he said that it is very helpful to start with acoustic. How long should I practice for everyday? How long do you think it will take for me to get good? I am a very fast learner and if I put my mind to it I can get VERY good at something (guitar hero for an example hahaha...).
