Absolutely I did. If I want to hear REAL COUNTRY music today I bring them out put them in my WalkMan and head set on and go about what ever I'm doing.
Otherwise I would never get to hear those beautiful songs again. Sure can't hear them on the radio or over the Internet.

I used to do it all the time; I'd call in requests at like 3:00 am, when they would put on just about anything I would request (I was probably the only person listening). This mention of taping off the radio reminded me of something funny that happened years ago. I called in a request, which just happened to be this really mushy country love song (I think it was "Can I have this dance for the rest of my life") and the DJ asked "are you sending this out to anyone special?" I was really nervous; as he didn't normally ask this; and I didn't even have a girlfriend! I blurted out the names of these 2 girls I sort of liked! Well, the DJ was laughing hysterically, but he played the song, complete with the dedication to the 2 girls from me. It turned out it was Valentine's day! What's funnier, both of them were listening and heard it come on the radio! I still have the tape of this song; including the DJ's dedication! It still makes me laugh every time I play it!

Yes i did, I had so many cassettes. I never thought anything could ever replace them. I was so sad when i saw Cd's come out for the first time. My cassette collection was so impressive i just knew I'd never get as many Cd's. But I have managed to build up an impressive CD collection now. And my cassettes are stored away. Hey OKIE i was thinking about you last night.(NOT THAT WAY!) one of our stations played golden oldies from 8pm till around midnite. Hank Sr, Lefty, Patsy, Porter and Dolly. It was nice to hear the classics on radio again.

Caveman & fool 4 Tommy Collins, you're the two so appropriate approximately what has handed off right here.this is assume to be classic united states which in my e book is the actual united states track. . i do no longer evaluate Taylor quick or Carrie Underwood or Rascal residences to be united states and there is different others that for the period of high quality condition into the catagory. can no longer have self belief you got a contravention for Bimbo!! That replaced into an extremely commonplace track. i've got not got plenty time to spend at right here yet i'm going to be on your millers cave internet site.

Too funny that you brought that up! We were just talking at work about our first tape recorders, and how easy kids have it today with ipods, and mp3's. We had to record it off the radio to cassettes (what's a cassette? lol). And, we had to carry around those 'boom boxes', remember those? Good days!

Yeah, OKIE, I did and still have some.
Now, when I know my favorite station is having a live performance, I still record it... but on my computer and edit out all the commercials.
