Hi there,
I'm a fan of good old metal.
I am familiar with the big three: Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest. I would probably also count early Velvet Underground in that.
Any more suggested essential listening? for someone too young to have been there. (born on haloween 1985)
Prefferably more bands, but suggested albums from those three would also be good, they have quite daunting discographies. (so far my favourite Black Sabbath eras are the Tony Martin albums and early Ozzy stuff, but i am open to persuasion)
Please give reasons.
[For an idea of the rest of my tastes, my modern favourites are: Rammstein, Marilyn Masnon (pre or post Twiggy), White Zombie, Gary Numan (does he count as modern?), Jack off Jill, Sakkuth, The Dead, Metalurgy, Candy Pain, and Alchemist.]
