AFI has a new sideproject called Blaqk Audio. Probably not too hard rock, though, but very techno. Or you could just listen to AFI themselves.

Well Blood Stain Child, not hardcore but its Melodic Death Metal. I know it sounds pretty gay to someone who listens to hardcore but they sound like techno with screams and growls in Japanese.
