Why do I hate the band Kiss?

No, I don't hate them because I grew up with them and saw them in concert a couple of times - THE best stage show I've ever seen! I saw a lot of bands in the '60s thru the '80s but never one who put on a show like they did!!
I guess because you've listened to all the hype from other people who have hated them for the 30+ years they have been in existence.
If you like real rock music, then listen to some of their early stuff (1973 to 1978). After listening to it, if you still don't like them, then so be it.
When I first starting listening to KISS in the early to mid '70s, there was so much garbage spread about them, mostly because they were ahead of their time and the makeup was always a big issue. My friends and I used to call all the radio stations in the area and request certain songs. They refused to play any KISS songs, which was ridiculous.
Anyway, though two of the members of KISS have changed from the original band, the founders have stayed the same. They are also the only band in the world to have become a Corporation. Though controversial, they obviously knew how to make money as well as music.
Before them, however, there was Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, and Frank Zappa that everyone hated on because they were different from other bands of their time. If you've never heard their music (other than Shout It Out Loud, etc.), then you should hate Marilyn Manson as well just because of the way they look.
****To Faithlessboxing18: The song you refer to (I Was Made For Loving You Baby) was not KISS! It was a solo project from Paul Stanley alone, who just happens to be one of the cofounders of KISS. Each member did a solo project at the same time, which is why the covers for those albums/cds only have one member's face on each of them.

Because you got bored hating bands like Weezer or Greenday or Guns n Roses, I dont know. Kiss made money and got chicks. Isn't that the band's mission statement?

Maybe you just don't like how they look. I never was a KISS fan either then I started to listen to some of their music I heard"I want to Rock and Roll" Normal song to me I guess it is just the make up then.

To goyo... dude, you're wrong. "I Was Made For Loving You" was released in 1979 on the Dynasty album. The solo albums were released in 1978.

your kidding, right? KISS is a rock band icon! they are legend and one of the best and oldest rock bands that helped pave the road for all rock bands!
saw them in concert in Greenville, SC in 2000 The Farewell Tour!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they were with Ted Nugent and Skid Row
