1. How much would a good beginner's guitar cost, and do you have any suggestions for any certain brand or...guitar? lol.

2. Is there a program I should get, like a guitar for dummies type book or a DVD or something? And again, any specific instructions?

Theres this song thats stuck in my head that I can't seem to find online. I have no idea who sang it, and what its called. Its a very slow tempo, slow beat song. As most of you know I'm a rock or metal head. But is it strange to be conneted to a song or artist? I mean I feel as if the songs "How You Remind me" and "Woke Up This Morning" by Nickelback are both talking about me. I also think the songs "If I was your Vampire" and "Heart-Shaped Glasses" by Marilyn Manson and talking about my love life. To be honest I know how it felt making the whole album "Eat Me, Drink Me" and how and why he was depressed. I mean his Wife devorced him and he was looking for love at the time. No I haven't gone through this, I'm only 18. I mean I've been rejected many times by girls but thats it. But I just feel as if that whole album is talking about my love life and just life in general, but the songs above are the ones that stick out for me. So is it really strange to feel connected or as if the song is talking about you? I'm just wondering what your thoughts are on this.

lyrics are something like "and i was made for you"
and something about stories of where ive been or something like that?

and i cant understand/remember any of the other lyrics. its sung by a girl and i just heard it on a station that plays 80's to today, but this song sounds like it was released recently.

My current favorite is Donizetti's "Ah! mes amis, quel jour de fete!" from "La Fille du Regiment" because of the lilting way he launches the high C's and still maintains deep tones for the rest of the song. Such balance. And it's romantic.

But I'd like to hear your opinion to get more ideas as to what to listen to. Obscure stuff is appreciated. Thanks so much.
