Another 45 my dad used to play I believe the song was called "The Little Old Shack Out Back"
I don't know all the lyrics but it went something like this

They passed an ordinance in the town
said we had to tear it down
that little old shack out back so dear to me
though the health department said
it's day was over and dead
it will stand forever in my memory

Oh please don't tear that little brown building down
no please don't tear that precious building down
please don't tear that little brown building down
for there's not another like it, in the country or the down

It wasn't fancy built at all, we had newspapers on the wall
it was air-conditioned in the winter time

I can't remember the rest, there was something about
"Or be a king upon a "golden throne" Does anyone know the complete lyrics, and artist? Anyone remember listening to this one themselves?

One of the 45s my dad played all the time was a song called "Pickles" The lyrics went like this

When I was a little boy, there lived next door to me
A little girl called Pickles, she was mean as she could be,
Now she ate pickles all day long she didn't care what kind,
and she got so mad when I asked her if she grew off a pickle vine
Oh gee oh golly, you oughta see Pickles now,
when she walks by I look and sigh, all I can say is wow
lately I got an awful urge to hang around
Oh gee oh golly, you oughta see Pickles now,

She'd stick out her tongue at me and call me awful names,
The way I hated Pickles well it was a terrible shame
One day I got so awful mad and I tore her playhouse down
She told my dad, and I got it bad in the place where I sit down

and then the Oh gee Oh golly chorus plays again.

Does anybody know this song, heard it, like it and know who the artist is that sang it?

If you want to hear some of my songs once I'm done (Probably over the summer), go to Myspace.com, search unsigned comedy artists, look for Austin

fall out boy-grand theft autumn(where us your boy tonight)
Where is your boy tonight? I hope he is a gentleman.
Maybe he won't find out what I know:
You were the last good thing about this part of town.

When I wake up,
I'm willing to take my chances on the hope I forget that you hate,
Him more than you notice.
I wrote this for you. (For you so...)
You need him. I could be him...
I could be an accident but I'm still trying.
That's more than I can say for him.

Where is your boy tonight? I hope he is a gentleman.
Maybe he won't find out what I know:
You were the last good thing about this part of town.

Someday I'll appreciate in value, get off my *** and call you...
But in the meantime I'll sport my brand new fashion of waking up,
With pants off at 4:00 in the afternoon.

You need him. I could be him...
I could be an accident but I'm still trying.
That's more than I can say for him.

Where is your boy tonight? I hope he is a gentleman.
Maybe he won't find out what I know:
You were the last good thing about this part of town.

Won't find out. (He won't find out.)
Won't find out. (He won't find out.)

Where is your boy tonight? I hope he is a gentleman.
Maybe he won't find out what I know:
You were the last good thing about this part of town.

Where is your boy tonight? I hope he is a gentleman. (He won't find out.)
Maybe he won't find out what I know:
You were the last good thing about this part of town.
