My wife says that my music sounds like someone but can't put her finger on who it is?

Anyone any ideas?

I used to be able to sing beautifully. I had a really nice voice and I could hold high notes for long periods of time. I never had an professional training but I'd sign solos at choir and stuff.
Two years ago, I got the flu and lost my voice. No big deal. I figured it would come back like it usually does and it did but only my speaking voice. Ever since, when I've tried to sing, my voice breaks when I go higher and even besides that, it doesn't sound so great. I decided to give it time...
Two years later, here I am. My cousin and I were watching a video of myself singing My All at a wedding and she wants me to sing at her wedding, but I can't.
Has anyone heard about this happening before? Is my voice ever going to come back? I'm kind of choked.

what about David Allan Coe? Atleast he wrote all of his songs. dont get me wrong, i like some of johnny cash's stuff but its the same beat every damn song. then you have the hipster kids that think just because he sang a Nine Inch Nails that hes the biggest rebel. i will tell you what, david allan coe and kris kristofferson should be the top two outlaws of country..along with steve earle. i had going on these tangents, but im so sick of hearing about johnny cash. the same thing that happened with kurt cobain is happening to johnny cash. lets hope to god it doesnt start with elliott smith anytime soon. although hes been dead for a little while already.

i just remember hearing it one day in my friend's car, and it's really sad and made me cry.

i don't really know the lyrics but it was about a guy who put a gun to his head and took his life, and then a girl[possibly wife or girlfriend] felt bad, and took her life the same way.

it's obvious the Ozzman did. poor bastard seems incapable of anything good (even decent) except sing his songs. & he's still rocking! his vocals still sound great even after all the drugs he's done!
