It seems like almost everyone has covered this song. I'm trying to put together a compilation CD of only different variations of this song as performed by various artists. But, I need help identifying artists who have actually recorded it. (Most of the people I've heard sing it have sung it live at celtic festivals, but not recorded it.) Any help you can give me in generating this list would be much appreciated!

I already have Tempest, Metallica, Brobdingnagian Bards, and the Dubliners.

The only lyric I can remember for sure in the song is "Virginia". The song was performed by a male artist who I thought was Dan Fogelberg. However, I can not find a Dan Fogelberg song with Virginia in the lyrics.

My dad submitted lyrics to a company in Nashville. They want him to send about $400 to pay for the "music arrangement." Then they have musicians record it, put it on a compilation CD for artists to listen to and, if someone is interested in recording it, he gets a 50% writers commission. Is this the standard in country music writing and do you think he should send in the money? Thanks. He is retired and I do not want him to spend the money if this is not the way this works.
