I too have always thought The End by the Beatles was the perfect lyrics and a beautiful piece of music. I also like this part of The Game by Echo & The Bunnymen:

The earth is the world
the world is a ball
a ball in a game
with no rules at all
and just as I wonder
at the beauty of it all
you go and drop it
and it breaks and it falls.

It really depends on the context...can you say in what context?

For now..I will say Jack Johnson, Sitting waiting wishin;

"lovin' somebody don't make them love you"

or Pink Floyd, Wish you were here is deep...

"so, so you think you can tell
Heaven from hell,
Blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heros for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How i wish, how i wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

"You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one "

---John Lennon, Imagine

and also,

"Words are flying out like
endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass
They slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow waves of joy
are drifting thorough my open mind
Possessing and caressing me"

--The Beatles, Across the Universe

Somebody get me through this nightmare,
I can't control myself.
So what if you can see the darkest side of me
No one will ever change this animal I have become
help me believe it's not the real me

animal i have become by

In my opinion, the best lyric is the song, "Best Friend" by P. Diddy. The genre of the song is rap. The lyric is about having God as your Best Friend. Just try to listen to it and you'll be amazed by it. Very nice song!

"...when they tortured and scared you for 20 odd years, then they expect you to pick a career, when you can't really function your so full of fear..."

"...there's room at the top they are telling you still, but first you must learn to smile as you kill... If you want to be like the folks on the hill..."

'Sunshine through to autumn
Sweet snow through to spring
Corn by the water of an old mill stream
And you give me all
And you give me all' Country Joe MacDonald from the sound track, 'Morning of the Earth', the first surfing movie ever made and a blast from the past.

Aly and AJ "Sticks and Stones"

"Why don't they understand
That we are all the same
And we all feel lost at times

Why don't they understand
That someone else's pain
Is not for gain

Sticks and stones won't break my soul
Get out of my way, I'm invisible
Throw them down
'Cuz the one you hurt's not around

It's not your place- honestly"
