Do you think it is a bit over the top to have a dj at a party? I am 14 and I am having a birthday party soon. I go to a small private school. I don't want to make it seem like I am bragging that I can easily afford having a dj at a party.

I want a dj at my party because it is like what my party is about. If I didn't have a dj, I would probably just have a cruddy party. It would just be music and food. With a dj, I can have people come up to him and suggest music and songs to play.

Hardly anyone has parties, so if I have a 14th bday party with a dj... would that be bragging?

I need answers from people around my age (no offense) just because I would want to know what they would think if I had a dj at my party.

My goddaughter has asked me to take her to a MCR concert and I am totally cool with that.

My question is now her mom is hearing the group is profane and she is questioning if she should let her daughter go or not. Of course I have to stand by what mom says, and profane is not an issue with me. I have gone to some pretty profane concerts in my day so I don't really mind.

In your opinion is a MCR concert ok for a 13 year old? Her mom is now leaving the reasearch up to me. (Thanks MOM!) If it were me I would take her as long as there wasn't any nudity/sex or anything, but swearing, kids hear worse in the school yard.

Would you take her yes or no and why or why not?

Who sings the TempurPedic ad song on the CBC Channel?
I saw this TempurPedic ad on the CBC Channel. The ad is in black and white (cartoony), and there's a man and a woman dancing. I liked the song very much and I wonder who sings it and what the title is. It's a male singer with voice very similar to Michael Buble.

It was really popular this summer, rap/hiphop song, it goes "we're so fly ... and you know this" or maybe "we ride high, so fly, and you know this" or something, anyone know the name?? it played on MTV after hours and several times on the radio. I heard it while driving with my girlfriend. I think its by an old boy band (beatles, beach boys, stones). It starts off with a nice jingle for like 5 seconds, then Wham! A drum sound. Then some guy sings "Wouldn't it be nice if we were older..."
