Music - 10 January 2007

The piece of crap seemed to be better at getting me out of tune than in tune. I'm plucking an E and it's reading a G. wtf? The worst part, I didn't even realize until like 3 strings were out of tune. It's lucky I didn't throw it against the wall. I was able to tune it back pretty well.

This little qwiktune thing really sucked. What are some GOOD guitar tuners?

Thanks to the Dirty south i think its safe to pronounce the death of hip hop. Artists from the south haven't proved anything yet. They all sound the same, not much lyrics in their songs. Most of the lyrics in their songs could fit across a bumper sticker. If their songs had meanings other than being about rims, sex, titties and the silver lining they put in their mouth to cover their sh!t stains left on their teeth they might have a little more credibility. With the exception of Ludacris and Outkast I honestly think hip hop was killed by the dirty south.

I started playing trumpet a while ago, about 4 years and I've been using the same 7c mouthpiece, just about 9 months ago I switched to a Yamaha 11b4, Now i'm curious to go mouthpiece hunting. I have been thinking about switching straight away to a 1c. Is this avisable? I don't have that much money to spend so I can't really go down the mouthpiece sizes intermittenly. What are the positive effects and the negative effects?

What is the difference between sound and tone?! If you are a musician specifically a guitarist, what do you mean by saying I want a good tone?! I read on dictionary.com that it says that tone is the quality of sound. But what IS Tone?! Is there such a thing as perfect tone? Im predicting most will say tone cant be perfected its a matter of preference. Then if it really is all preference then doesn't that mean that the word tone is just another way of saying sound?!

i have a computer mic and i want to play a song and record my voice at the same time. I am currently putting my microphone next to my speaker and singing near the microphone just to record my voice and music. I've seen people just play the song and just sing on the microphone without having a hard time. Is there any kind of program or something? What can I do?

advertising 2 dandylion seeds floating in the air? does anyone know the title and artist of the song in that commercial? the lyrics are "what are you doing the rest of your life? what are you doing the west east north and south of your life...?"
