Thanks to the Dirty south i think its safe to pronounce the death of hip hop. Artists from the south haven't proved anything yet. They all sound the same, not much lyrics in their songs. Most of the lyrics in their songs could fit across a bumper sticker. If their songs had meanings other than being about rims, sex, titties and the silver lining they put in their mouth to cover their sh!t stains left on their teeth they might have a little more credibility. With the exception of Ludacris and Outkast I honestly think hip hop was killed by the dirty south.

So freaking true, hip hop has lost its soul and God only knows who can bring it back.

Blaming the "death" of hip hop on the Dirty South is kinda harsh. It's been on the decline for years before the south blew up. I blame it on record execs settling for something that sounds good, like everything popular out there, instead of something that has any meaning. And in that sense, what the hell has Luda contributed to hip hop. He's got catchy songs but they're all about the stuff that you're complaining about.

I could not agree with you anymore. I dont really mind them rapping about rims grills and sex, but atleast put together clever raps that MAKE SENSE. Not something that you wrote in 2 minutes while taking a dump. I mean honestly I could pull up rap lyrics from dipset, paul wall, mike jones, and so on that would make you lose your appetite. It is sickening. At least when the westcoast took over they did it with some hot lyrics to go with their g-funk style. The southern rappers just hype crunk everywhere but don't back it up with any lyrical talent. Southern rappers took offense to nas saying hip hop is dead. But if they looked at the crap they've produced, they'd realize its true. RIP HIP-HOP 1970ish-2006ish

welllll, you dont ought to take an african american examine classification to appreciate that. maximum of them, are no longer rappin consciously, so which you get ignorant lyrics approximately vehicles, funds, hoes, and mysognistic lyrics. to no longer say some east coast rappers dont do this. however the image is positioned out on the television that those human beings purely care approximately textile issues. there's no creativity, at alll!!! None. they do no longer look to be in it to put in something good, and stand the try of time, they are in it to make funds, and rape the existence-style. MLK as quickly as stated, "as long because of the fact the recommendations is enslaved, the physique ought to on no account be loose". Snap music, is wack, soulja boy, talentless. They dont care what the rapper has to assert, except they are in a position to shake their asses to the beat, they are going to like it. Jesus defietly helps this "music" from the south

you know what...i kind of agree with you. I like T I, but other than that, they do all sound just about the same. They just find a beat people can bounce to, they even come with a new dance and thats about it. I almost pulled the system out of my car when "laffy taffy" was out. Oh my g*d, that was the worst one of all. and they played that sh*t it seemed like every 20 minutes.
