Metallica got its name when San Francisco-area metal promoter Ron Quintana asked Ulrich to help pick out a name for his new magazine to promote U.S. and British metal bands. Quintana came up with a list that included "Metallica," but Lars suggested "Metal Mania" (I think after he realised what a cool name Metallica was) and decided to steal Metallica for use for his own band.

The more I think about it, the more I think it's a brilliant name :-D

ok metallica is good (only old metallica) but come on with bands like , dio, venom ,slayer ,iron maiden, judas priest ,cradle of filth dimmu borgir, hades almighty, iced earth.......... how come metallica is always rated the best out of all metal. i think judas priest is the best because they are one of the band that made metal what it is today

I've never been a very good singer, but I've been practicing like crazy and I've found that I've gotten a little better. I am a 14 year old boy, and I really like musical theatre, and I'd like to be able to do that in high school. I'm not looking to become the next singing superstar, I'd just like to be able to sing in tune and pleasantly. Besides the obvious answer of getting a vocal coach (which I'm looking in to), what can I do to improve my singing?

Nightwish and Trans-siberian's orchestra's secular album, Beethoven's Last Night, are somewhat similar in my opinion with their fantasical-sounding music (as my friend puts it).
