I heard the song on a classic rock radio station and it's got a typical jazz/country melody. For part of the song, the male vocalist is talking about how he had to get a job, he came back and told his woman that he had a job and could pay the rent, but then they got in a fight and he left and went to the bar and had a bottle of whiskey, a bottle of rum, and a bottle of beer.

i believe it's from the 80's...
first it has what i call a "tarzan" sound, it goes
whoa aoaoaoaaaaooooaa then repeats a few times, then it goes something like "tonight, tonight"
...that's really all i have...and it's NOT phil collins.
