No. In fact, I'm surprised Clarkson lasted so long. All the others may stay in the biz along time, but only because they are in small, specific genres. None will ever be a true Idol.

Anything's possible but based on the sheer numbers of recording artists that have come and gone over the last 50 years, some never to be heard from again, his chances aren't that great. While he is a decent enough singer, he will need a lot more than that to have a great career in the music business.

Taylor Hicks was the winner of Season 5 AI, and in my opinion, is loved by MANY. I like him...he has a unique voice. Of course, no one can accurately say what will happen to him and his career. What I can say is that he already has a CD which you can pre-order now.

i wanted chris daughtry to win and i thought he would. he and kelly clarkson would probably do better than taylor hicks

No,sad but true...His talent isn't very unique so he will fade into the history books..

I think he'll be a two hit wonder.
Nothing against him personally, I just don't think he'll have staying power.
