For those who don't know, Ed Gein is a metalcore band. It's also a name of a famous murderer.

The common way I've heard people say it is "Geen."

Supergroup Smackdown continues. Temple won their first face-off on based soley on a single song. Can they stand up to Asia?

Asia (1981)
Geoff Downes (Yes, Buggles) John Wetton (King Crimson, UK) Steve Howe (Yes) Carl Palmer (Emerson Lake and Palmer, Atomic Rooster)

Asia clicked with fans of such 1980s arena acts as Journey, Boston, and ELO. Asia became known as pioneers of phase two of the progressive rock era.

vs.

Temple of the Dog (1990) -
Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) Matt Cameron (Soundgarden) Stone Gossard (Mother Love Bone) Jeff Ament (Mother Love Bone) Mike McCready (Pearl Jam)

In 1992, though the album had been released a year earlier, A&M Records realized that they had in their catalog a collaboration between Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, who had both risen to mainstream attention in the months since the album's release. A&M decided to re-issue the album. Ironically, the biggest hit from the album came from a song featuring an unknown backup singer, Eddie Vedder.

Ever heard of a song from the late 70's or early 80's with a chorus that goes 'gree-eed for love'? The chorus is just that phrase, repeated every four bars, four times. Judging from the music style and lead vocals, I could have sworn it was Blondie. I've checked Blondie's entire catalogue and have even searched song lyrics - but this song seems to elude me! Radios haven’t played it for decades! I heard this lovely song in my childhood and I'm sure it's not my imagination - because I even remember the entire melody! Thanks.
