I want to learn how to sing and riff like Christina Aguilera and JoJo. They can make their voices move so fast, so fast in fact that i can't remember all the notes in my head to be able to do it also. How can i learn this?

Ok here's what I can remember about it.

ITs a 60s-70s era song.
I am pretty sure it has a brass solo in it.
It is about a boy and girl who are about to break up.

The line i vaguely remember is about
how he can tell by the look in her eyes as she brushes her hair in the mirror that she doesnt love him anymore.

This song is not the beatles song about the parents upset that their daughter is leaving home.
Its not on the Revolver album.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Honestly I'm more interested in something old rather than new, but I don't have a clue where to start as far as artists. I thought perhaps some sort of compilation album would be a good place to start and find out which particular artists I like but if you have a specific artist you like please feel free to let me know. I'm looking for something very easy listening, with nice flow, nothing to free form or disruptive. Music you can relax to. Thanks.

My brother, gave me a copy of one of his fave cds, and I quite like 'can i sit next to you to girl', the guitar riff is awesome! It makes me want to play a guitar. I used to love the song tommy the cat from bill and teds sountrack, another guitar riff you don't come across often.

Mine are:

Always on my mind - Pet Shop Boys
Word Up - Gun
Cecelia - Suggs (although the rap bit is a bit rubbish!)

My favourite band released a song a couple of years ago with the lyric 'collapsing like the twin towers'. They self-censored and changed it on the radio edit to 'collapsing like dying flowers', which is a much weaker metaphor.

Just wondered if you think the edit was necessary, or if you, personally wouldn't have been bothered. Still can't decide, myself.
