I recently read that the brilliant musician Elliott Smith killed himself only 3 years ago. I know that my discovery is quite late, but I find it sad that the good artists kill themselves. I mean, look at Kurt Cobain. They both have similar cases too. People think that someone might have killed them, thought it is most likely that they killed themselves. Music these days is bland, stupid, and senseless. Rap about sex, rape, and getting more money off of a stupid song. Rock about marrige with poor lyrics and only a dash of talent. Folk just sucks ***, but thats not the point. Entertainment today is lowering it's standards to the point where we might as well just be sitting at home, listening to sex noises is random cuss words on our iPods. We need another inspiring artist, but they come as a rarity these days. I wish that they were still alive. I miss the talent that used to be alive in music, now it is pressurized nothings with dead meaningful lyrics.

I want you now. I'll show you how
I can be the girl you need me to be
I've been around but now I've found
that you're the only one for me
I need you so. I can't let go
Gonna be all that I can be
I want you still. I always will
cause you're the only one for me

I was there a few weeks ago and saw a rock band playing, they played Bat out of Hell, Sweet Child Of Mine, Don't Stop Believing, basically loads of rock classics. It was a Sunday night, a smallish pub with a small outside area. But can't remember the name of the place. I would like to get in contact with the band, but need to get in touch with the pub to get some details. Please can anyone help??

Many people don't know things about Elvis Presley, like, he had a great sense of humor and he was a pretty good guitar player.

When Elvis was popular, I was listening to Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. I didn't come to appreciate his talent until much later. Even though I saw it way after 1968, in my opinion, there IS no better Elvis than the '68 Comeback Special. He was calm, he was funny, he was unrehearsed, he was unplugged, and he was unbelievably sexy. Can you imagine being able to sit two feet from today's rock idols?

Any Elvis fans out there agree?

This my favorite rendition of my
favorite song by Elvis Presley!
I swear, him in that black leather,
with his hair all messed up...
that smile...those eyes...
the man just oozes sex from every pore!

Do you have a favorite Elvis song?
