I was there a few weeks ago and saw a rock band playing, they played Bat out of Hell, Sweet Child Of Mine, Don't Stop Believing, basically loads of rock classics. It was a Sunday night, a smallish pub with a small outside area. But can't remember the name of the place. I would like to get in contact with the band, but need to get in touch with the pub to get some details. Please can anyone help??

could have been quite a few different places without a name of a street, or an area of town it will be difficult, though i would guess at cert 18, gillygate or the white swan, goodramgate. they both have small areas for drinking outside, though most pubs in york are quite small

No, but I'm surprised at this question. I'm a fuddy-duddy, and I've started going to York for a peaceful night out. Gosh! Rock bands! And will the clientele be on the last train south? I need to plan for this. However, the newspaper "The Northern Echo" (available from Northumberland to York) has a pull-out on Thursday that tells you all the gigs, including York. Try that, it has a rock section, you might see the name of the pub there.

The bar you are looking for i believe is 'Fibbers'
I recently saw an advert for a Guns and Roses band playing in Fibbers and it was on a Sunday night
