The song I am thinking of must have been written in or around the 1970's. I heard it in IKEA, and all i can remember from it is this:

I was watchin 'Classic Boy band tunes' on a music channel last night and a song came on called 'where do you go? it came out in the 90's and was by a latin american group (three guys) it went like this;

The song is sung in English by an Arabic woman. It references the displaced Palestinians of Haifa and Yafa. If memory serves (it's been years since I heard it), the music is simple... possibly a sitar? The first lines are as follows: 'Ta la-Zatar, built on the wasteland of Beiruit.
