Can anyone suggest a good Donovan album to whet my appetite? I own none and have just realised how good his works are.

Can't think of an album right off the top of my head, but if you'll send me a good email address, I can send you 6 or 7 of his tunes, "Mellow Yellow", "Jennifer Juniper", "Wear Your Love Like Heaven", "Hurdy Gurdy Man", "Season Of The Witch", "Sunshine Superman", "Atlantis", "There Is A Mountain", maybe a few more....all ripped @ 192 or 224.....

Greatest Hits or Best Ofs are always the way to go. All the hits and / or best songs are usually included. He did have a lot of great songs. He even used Jeff Beck on guitar on one song (Hurdy Gurdy Man).
