i was watching som movie where the hero who plays guitar befor killing the bad guys and it was soooo cool. i dont want to kill poeple but i want to know how to play guitar where I learn??? i wanna be cool guy too

king_of_hyrule: have you NO DREAMS? Shallow? HOW? BS... when kid watch TV and see pro basketballer and say I want to be like that then they become basketball player too, is that being shallow? How about kid who want to be doctor like his father? We all have dream like this, if you don't then what is purpose of living??

It will take you many years of practice before you can call yourself a guitarist - that is, if you ever call yourself a guitarist, I've been playing for 30 years and still won't call myself a guitarist! Anyway, go to a music school and learn as much as you can, study as much as you can, practice a lot, it's hard work, you know...

1st get a guitar, traditionally, you'd have to learn to tune it and get a book learn the chords A thru G, and their minors and 7ths, get a book of songs by a band or artist that you know that shows you the chord patterns to the songs ( most songs rock, country type songs only have 2,3 or 4 chords) and can hear the music in your head,, if you keep playing it for a few months it gets easier and easier and your off to the rodeo!!! As far as tuning goes if sounds good to you,, its all good,,music isnt something to look at,,its something you hear,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, to wrap this answer up,, just get a guitar, go for a drive,, see where it takes you :):):):)

Wow, you've got some shallow reasons for wanting to play the guitar, maybe you should try playing the butt flute.

The giutar is easy enough to teach yourself, just go to a music shop and buy a beginners book. they are so easy to follow. If you still want to learn more after going through and learning whats in the book, then go and find a teacher.Best of luck.
