I was thinking about which bands were the most influential in rock music and I think you can see the influence of those two bands in the music after them more than any other bands. The Who might qualify as the forebearers of punk.

Does anyone agree?

I'm in a band thats genre is Emo/Metal. I play Guitar and sing back up vocals, I sound a little like the girl from paramore. Our lead singer Townson sounds a cross between Corey Talyor from Slipknot and Matthew Tuck from Bullet for My Valentine. I really shouldn't compare us to other singers but that is so you get an idea. What Should we name our band?

I talked to a drummer 2 nights ago and hes been drumming for 15 years (if thats relevance or not since he hasnt done this yet) but he said i could try to drill a hole from where the crack starts from the inside out, not the edge but where its connected to inside the cymbal, so in other words it will stop the connection between the crack and the cymbal, do you think this would be effective in getting a good sound?

Sometimes I hear singers on CDs and on the radio & they sound really good but when I hear them live they are all off key and sounds bad. I'm wondering if there's some "fudging" of their voice in the recording studio - now that all music is digitally produced it probably wouldn't be that difficult. If this is true, do you consider that "cheating"?

I have 2 paiste signature edition hi-hats for my drums that my cousin will let me have for 100$ if i can find someone to weld the cracked part, the crack is a little over an inch at the edge and it splits into two other tiny cracks, so i guess the real question is will the sound it makes when I weld it be 100$ worth it or should I just buy new ones (they go for 450$)?
