Music - 3 July 2006

Ok my mom thinks that since my choice in music has changed that my moods have too. She thinks i was happier when i listened to pop and stuff like that. But now i listen to rock and stuff like it my mom thinks that my moods have changed. She says i seems to be more emotional and upset and not so happy. But i don't agree with her. Cuz maybe she is just starting to see the real me. like how i always felt. cuz now im not afraid to tell her what i think or how i feel. But before when i was younger i didn't tell her my thoughts cuz i was always afraid of how she would think of me. I don't think my music has changed me i think im just showing who i am more. what do you think? can my music have changed me?

Years ago terms like R & B and country used to mean something, now apparently someone like Mariah Carey is considered R & B and someone like, say, Leanne Rhymes or Shania Twain is considered country but they both sound the same to me. I think most music now is just one bland mess with no meaning.

The song may have been a duet, but not sure. It was a very cute song, like a little girl singing a song with her daddy and how much she loved him. My uncle and cousin used to sing it together and no one can remember the title or the artist! My family sang it in the mid-late 80's, but the song may have been released before then.

I'm trying out for two orchestras in about a month. I need serious help. I've only ever auditioned for baritone, never violin. Well, this is my first orchestra audition. If it were for baritone I'd be okay. But i'm afraid a little. Excited, but some what afraid. Can someone give me some tips how to stay calm and what to do and stuff.
