For the really good music on MTV, you will have to jump into a time machine and go back to the 1980's, when MTV was new.

I don't get that either!!! I love music with most of my heart and it saddens me there is a "Music Television" with no music. I wish there was some music on that channel.. no "Punk'd" or "My Super Sweet Sixteen" they need some good music videos like they have on VH1 in the morning.

Go to MTV2. But they still do got some random crap. Animation stuff. VH1 has celebreality.....
If you want Music Television, I'd go to Fuse TV. They got a lot of music. Good music.

Yes so im starting to wonder myself where is the music. i think most the reality shows need to get cut so we can have our music tv! again! They gave it to us and they took it back. they gave us mtv and video killed the radio star. but now reality tv killed the videos! and killed MTV! thats double murder the stupid reality tv shows need to get kicked off! i want music! and a lil less rap too on there! Who else wants music back on mtv? ME! Yes!

It USED to mean that, back in the 80's when it first came along. But about the time Beavis and Butthead lost popularity, it got more and more away from the music part.

The music has become so crappy that even they don't want to bore their audience with too much of it.
That's why, in the 80s, when music was good, they actually opted to play music because it could actually maintain a large amount of viewers.
