You know in songs like Bow Wow's "Shorty Like Mine" , in some TLC like "No Scrubs" and in plenty of other hip-hop kind of music they refer to "shorty" alot. What the heck does this word mean?

I live in rural Canada and here, a shorty is the back of a pick-up truck! I thought that's what it meant in these songs but then I wondered if it meant a joint, a rear-end or a cool car? Does anyone know for sure?

I like Green Day but don't know their music very well.... what songs would be good for a 12-year-old. They are for my nephew. Also, any new top 40 music that would be good for him but not violence or sex .. it's hard!
