I do know that some people do indeed purchase from iTunes...but why?? Is it because they're loyal to their artists? I personally don't think it matters because majority of the money we spend on songs and albums goes to the record producers, not the artist.

I would never pay for music online. That is so stupid. Record companies and musicians make plenty of money they don't need more. I had lots of fun with my friends making mixed tapes on cassettes back in the 80s and I don't see the difference now with downloading online music and making cd's for each other or even just for my own use on my computer. It is not like I'm selling them to anyone. I can see how selling them would make sense to be illegal, but just listening to them or burning cds for friends? nah, I say it is no crime and no one should feel bad doing it.

iTunes are my last resort. Limewire has been getting lame too though. I found a music download site that is both legal and extremely inexpensive. It's called LegalSounds. I think it's a Euro-based software. An average song is only 10 cents. You can download entire ALBUMS for usually between $1 and $2 (the same price you'd pay for one song on iTunes or Napster)

I got a few viruses and worms from trying to get free music over the years. Ruined my laptop and personal files. No more. Sticking to legit stuff like Napster.
