its not that old of a movie
the things i remember in the previews is

It was on cbbc, and was set in the victorian times i think, and a brother and sister used to go to this sand pit and this little guy used to come out of the sand and grant them wishes? its bugging me badly man cos that little freak was in my dream last night. ...despite living in the greater San Diego area, I apparently missed the limited release presentation of the supposedly highly praised old-school horror shocker, "Hatchet"; for some reason, the film played here, in a theatre that was very difficult to get to, especially for someone with a busy schedule, like myself...

...it was apparently only a one-week engagement, as I can no longer find the movie being scheduled for any theater after today...

...without giving too much away, can anyone out there, who HAS seen the film, give me a reasonably objective and abbreviated review of the film?

...loks like I'll have to suck it up, bite my tongue and wait with bated breath, for the DVD release...
