Question about vhs and dvd times?

on most tapes and dvd's it says the movie is for example 90 minutes long is that the length of the movie plus all the advertisements at the begining or the length of the actual movie itself?

where can I find a copy of the film ' lonely are the Brave' starring Kirk Douglas ?

Please can somebody help,I just want a copy of this film as I have gone on about it for so long and I would love to watch it again.I'm not fussed whether it's on DVD or video,taped of the television,official copy or not as I just want to see it again.Please help.

80s movie about girl that falls asleep and dreams a pirate related dream where she gets the most popular guy.?

Saw this one when I was little and covered this teen girl that wasn't so popular and falls asleep on a trip (i think) and dreams this dream of being a pirate and hooks up with the most popular guy. When she wakes up she realises it was a dream, but still hooks up with the bloke.
I THINK there was some singing in it..

In about what Earth year did Star Wars: A New Hope take place?

I'm a huge Star Wars fan and this is the one question I never knew. All you get are time lines and how long the span of the Star Wars stories occur (1,000 yrs). I would like to know what Earth year A New Hope started. When was "a long time ago?"
1 Million BC or 80 AD? Any ideas?

do you people think movie's are better today than they were?

i'm not a old person but i don't like movie's that just seem to be
made for teenager's with no plot's and poor acting.

to me a movie should be like a story.

the older movie's like casa blanca or gone with the wind or like a goood old movie are very intresting to see and have plot's to them the acting seem's to be better the way they made the movie's look too are like the director's where trying you make you feel you were there watching it live.

what do you guy's think ?
