no. its another remake of a cheesy , cult film from the 80's. the original one with c thomas howel was ok, but people didnt just didnt flock to it the way hollywood thought they might've.
the main actor is a somewhat recognizeable face ( his name is sean bean) and than they got the girl from One Tree HIll ( sophia bush, a major hottie) but it wasnt enough to carry a film.

It's been out on dvd for nearly a month now!
It was not a box office success but should do better on dvd as it is a very well made movie.
It's not nearly as suspenceful as the original but nonetheless, is very well written, acted & directed and very entertaining. I'm a die-hard fan of the original and I really liked this remake (for a change)... :-)

yes i have seen it, good entertainment....Sean does a great job as the hitcher....slightly different to the original but very well done....all in all a good movie...well worth a watch
