i'm not a old person but i don't like movie's that just seem to be
made for teenager's with no plot's and poor acting.

to me a movie should be like a story.

the older movie's like casa blanca or gone with the wind or like a goood old movie are very intresting to see and have plot's to them the acting seem's to be better the way they made the movie's look too are like the director's where trying you make you feel you were there watching it live.

what do you guy's think ?

Most are special effect in today movies. soon all will be made by computer with no live actors. Old movies (40's-50's) had people how could act. Silents movies actors could express them self with out speaking, not much plot, but good acting.
Some new movies are done well, but lots are made cheap, use sex and bad languages to make profits.

I think movies reflect the times...

Personally, I don't like the chauvinism in the old movies. They may be classics from the time, but sometimes the attitudes seem pathetic.

Chauvinism in movies stills exists today, but is always dealt with.

I like surrealism and the seemingly impossibe, of which there was lots of back when, and lots of nowadays. Some of surrealism from the past actually finally came to be...kinda scary thinking today's surrealiam might one day too!

Maybe the movies are better but certainly not the acting . I mean stars from my moms time knew how to behave themselves and it used to be criminal to get your picture in the paper doing something wrong and the studios at that time would drop you . The actors nowadays think there is nothing wrong with behaving badly and the studios wont drop them . Give me the good old days when actors behaved themselves and the studios made them do so .

The movies in the past have their good points but so does the movies now. It all depends on the viewers own perception. To me I think the old movies are being remaked so it doesnt make a difference to me. With the special effects and the celebrities now. I personally prefer the new movies because I am more used to seeing them
