I hadn't really seen this since I was a kid (and it freaked the hell out of me as a four year old) and I haven't read the book, it's just that i watched it out the corner of my eye on Film Four this evening. While the rabbits go on their quest for a new warren they come across a very fey rabbit called Cowslip who invites them back to his sinister, and very empty, warren. I had to answer the phone (typical) and when i got back to the movie they'd all decided they were better off carrying on with their hunt.
What was wrong with Cowslip? It wasn't that depressing poem he recited was it? C'mon, it's got to be something better than that.
Does the book go into it any further?
