If it is a double digest, then divide the price by two and see if it is more or less than a regular digest?

If a D.D. is $4.50, and the regular D. is $2.75, then divide the
$4.50 by 2 to get $2.25.

So this is the same as getting two single digest for $2.25 each, which is cheaper than the $2.75. So in this example, I would go with the double digest.

But do compare real world numbers; I haven't bought Archie comics in years.

In terms of the story, anything will do ... Archie is awesome!

Though I guess the double digest will be more econonmical.

I'd have to say the Double Digest. The price tag says it all (or most of it, anyway).

HOWEVER, I've noticed a disturbing trend in the past five or so years: the constant "updating" of times and references. I find them unnecessary-- the comics stand up quite well by themselves. I also find the difference in the font styles jarring as well.
