I just chanced upon this piece of similarity. Does anybody here feel that the words GAS and GUESS sound similiar when mouthed? I have heard them being pronounced similarly by a lot of people. Has that happened to you?

At dinner one night a blonde girl named Kaitlin went to the table with the rest of her family and they said the blessing and started to eat. After a few minuets of eating her sister says im making a bug out of my ketchup. Kaitlin said that bug has lots of legs. then her sister says duh all bugs have lots of legs! then Kaitlin says no some bugs have 4 legs just like us.............

Specifically, 1990s decade "I had a great teenage life, and boy does growing up really bite" type of nostalgia.

I have a friend whose currently going through that right now, and i'm not really sure what to suggest.

is that weird? i like the velvet underground to start off. i love the talking heads, the ramones, patti smith, television, richard hell and well, every other punk band from new york. the only punk bands i like that arent from new york are MC5(if you want to call them punk) Iggy Pop/the stooges, X, and the sex pistols. the rest i just cant stand. is there a reason to this madness?
