I saw about 2/3 of this movie but didn't see how it ended. Can someone tell me how it ends? Do they end up getting married?

Lots more discussions/scenes. Poitier's parents get involved, and their prejudices come out. Tracy finally agrees to the marriage, despite his prejudices.
Big movie for the 60's but seems to play the race card heavy when you watch it today. Many people refused to see it even though it was in the theaters for many years (Yes, good movies back then stuck around a while in the theaters).

All 4 parents get into an argument with their kids, after much soul searching and seeing that the kids really love each other and thats all that matters
and yes, they get married, or thats the assumed result
its a great movie, go rent it

In 1967, interracial marriage was a hugely controversial topic and still illegal in some parts of the country. Today, most people do not care.

They do. Well, not shown in the movie. But when the movie ends, it is evident that the wedding is "on".
