Is life all about relieving old memories continuously?

For instance, if you like a certain band, or a certain video game, or a certain TV show, or a certain brand of clothing, aren't you basically just trying to retrieve the same feeling you got from the first time experiencing that certain band, or video game, or TV show, or brand of clothing?

Aren't you basically trying to repeat history?

Do you know somewhere that offers?

all this and more:

1) it is always available - except for coffee breaks
2) it has heroes and villians
3) you can ask "I" questions and give "I" answers
4) You can ask questions that you've always wanted the answer to and some you haven't
5) you can be someone else - a dalek, a rabbit, a film star, a pair of lips
6) you can be invisible
7) you can learn interesting stuff
8) you can "meet" like-minded people
9) age, looks, race don't matter if you don't want them to
10) you can answer questions / get answers from some people who deserve their own TV shows
11) you can laugh until you cry
12) it is a soap opera where you are the characters
13) it broadens your mind
14) it is topical
15) it is another world - a place to escape to
16) and sometimes it makes your go grrrr
17) it has its own vocabuary
18) it is a club that people who don't belong don't understand - even when you explain something that happened with tears of laughter pouring down your face

help me find the name of this programme?

years ago i used watch this programme but have no idea what it was called.it was on around the same time as American Gothic about a man who had tattoos all over his body of evil doers and his name was Ezekiel.im not sure if he had to redeem them but whatever he did afterwards the tattoos would disappear and a new one appear,he would be in pain after wards and there was a woman who worked for him too.he lived in a basement but could have been an investigator.i loved it but have no idea what it was called and nobody remembers it either.Please help!!!!!
