You stay up for 16 hours

He stays up for days on end.

He gets shot at as others are hit, and keeps moving forward.

You put on your anti war/don't support the troops shirt, and go meet up with your friends.

He still fights for your right to wear that shirt.

You make sure you're cell phone is in your pocket.

He clutches the cross hanging on his chain next to his dog tags.

You talk trash about your "buddies" that aren't with you.

He knows he may not see some of his buddies again.

You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.

He patrols the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists.

You complain about how hot it is.

He wears his heavy gear, not daring to take off his helmet to wipe his brow.

You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order wrong.

He doesn't get to eat today.

He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own people and remembers why he is fighting.

He hears the gunfire, bombs and screams of the wounded.

He sees the broken bodies lying around him.

You are asked to go to the store by your parents. You don't.

He does exactly what he is told even if it puts his life in danger.

You stay at home and watch TV.

He takes whatever time he is given to call, write home, sleep, and eat.

You crawl into your soft bed, with down pillows, and get comfortable.

He tries to sleep but gets woken by mortars and helicopters all night long.

I'm laid-back, adventurous and like to have fun but I really don't want to hang out with a bunch of drug abusers. I'm not Christian, so I wouldn't want to be part of the "Christian rock" scene. Is it possible to be successful/popular in a band or as a solo artist and find like-minded friends while keeping things clean?

I cannot get anymore disgusted by the fact that cbs cancelled jericho because it had conflicting times with american idol. HOw friggin long is tv going to be ruled by reality televison. its everywere now. THat genre of tv is flat out disgusting and below human in every way. I hear that british p.o.s. weirdo say "that was absolutely terrible" one more time iam just gonna shoot my tv. they even got a pirate reality show now. How messed up in the head are people. Whats so special about survivor, its the most boring show out of them all (i really dont care about what some group of strangers are doing in some third world part of the world). How can you really be attracted to the whole "look what fortune they have" scene. all that is so based on thought process thats just about being fake. do you as the viewers need to know things like what show the prince of england watches or what toliet paper some celebrity uses, dude how does jolie's adoptions affect or entertain me?

A man goes on a 2-month business trip to Europe and leaves his cat with his brother. Three days before his return he calls his brother.
Brother 1: So how is my cat doing?
Brother 2: He's Dead
Brother 1: He's Dead! What do you mean He's Dead! I loved that cat. Couldn't you think of a nicer way to tell me! I'm leaving in 3 days. You could of broke me to the news easier. You could of told me today that she got out of the house or something. Then when I called before I left you could of told me, Well, we found her but she is up on the roof and we're having trouble getting her down. Then when I call you from the airport you could of told me, The Fire Department was there and scared her off the roof and the cat died when it hit the ground.
Brother 2: I'm sorry...you're right...that was insensitive I won't let it happen again.
Brother 1: Alright, alright, forget about it. Anyway, how is Mom doing?
Brother 2: She's up on the roof and we're having trouble getting her down.
