Most people can not even fathom being that dehydrated. I had a 12 hour surgery two years ago. I assume the anesthesia dehydrates you in addition to not having any liquid for over 24 hours. Not to mention I had to have 23 pints of blood, so my body was in complete shock. When I woke up they would not let me have any water for a long time. I was so thirsty, I felt like I would die, it was all I could think of. The only thing they would let me do was suck water from a wash rag and only for a couple of minutes. Can you imagine what a wash rag in a hospital has on it? When I think about it now, I almost throw up in my mouth. At that moment though, I did not even care. I was so happy to have that rag to suck on. With all of that said, I do not know what I would do if I was close to death. Having had the experience I did, I may not rule it out. Disgusting or not, I like living and that is my honest answer.

Only in a survival situation. Considering the world is 2/3 water just the thought of intake one own body fluids isn't necessary and poor hygiene when water can be found in a matter of minutes in most all civilizations.

Quite honestly its more sanitary than most of the fluids we put in our bodies. However, it wouldnt do you any good because if you were dehydrated you would have no body fluids anyway.

I believe the point is moot. When a person is very dehydrated- they don't urinate (& even if they DID, it'd be like drinking salt water- NOT very thirst quenching!).

I would't drink it but i would swirl it around my mouth a bit and spit it back out just to get some fluid into me.

yes... people do say when they dont have anything to drink in the deserts.... it serves as a good rehydration fluid

yes i agree, if you`re very dehydrated, you couldn`t go to the restroom, so not possible. but that`s nasty -___-

No Way!...besides being gross, it would just make you dehydrate faster!
