People who understand Hip-Hop are reading some of these answers and laughing. Don't put Lil' Wayne's name in the same sentence as Jay-Z. It's like slapping Jay in the face. Lil' Wayne was a pre-pubescent little boy when Jay-Z dropped Reasonable Doubt. There's only one legendary rapper named Carter. (It's not Lil Wayne, if that wasn't obvious.)

Lil Wayne, hands down, he doesn't right anything down..he comes up with creative lyrics and he's multi-demensional. When Jay has a song its so redundant and u already knows what he's going to say, lil wayne he's smooth and he can MAKE HITS with anyone in the r&b and rap world. Everyone is pressed over the jay z/linkin park collabo..but come on now..lets be real, what was a better hit?? that jay and linkin park junk or Gimme that by chris feat. wayne?

Lil Wayne in the street sense and Jay-Z in the Business, smart field. They are both good in different ways. But Jay-z's songs make more sense, ( sorry Lil wayne :P).
