I cannot get anymore disgusted by the fact that cbs cancelled jericho because it had conflicting times with american idol. HOw friggin long is tv going to be ruled by reality televison. its everywere now. THat genre of tv is flat out disgusting and below human in every way. I hear that british p.o.s. weirdo say "that was absolutely terrible" one more time iam just gonna shoot my tv. they even got a pirate reality show now. How messed up in the head are people. Whats so special about survivor, its the most boring show out of them all (i really dont care about what some group of strangers are doing in some third world part of the world). How can you really be attracted to the whole "look what fortune they have" scene. all that is so based on thought process thats just about being fake. do you as the viewers need to know things like what show the prince of england watches or what toliet paper some celebrity uses, dude how does jolie's adoptions affect or entertain me?

The next step is realizing that TV has you hooked enough to become upset about something like this. The step after that is realizing maybe you should give up TV itself.
I did. Three years ago. Haven't wanted to watch a single TV show since then.
My next step is the internet. As you can see, that one has been tougher.

Here's what I say to people that want to try out for American Idol...
Don't.
Just because you sang karaoke at a bar one time, and some liquored up barfly with about 5 Jack and Coke's too many says to you "Hey, you sound great! You should try out for American Idol!" DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD TAKE THEIR ADVICE.
If you ask for an honest opinion from your friends and/or family, 99.9% of the time they will feed your ego to the point where it will start to eat itself. "Your singing is awesome!" from a friend or family member translated means "you couldn't carry a tune if it were in a box."
And I frankly don't want to see the train-wrecks, specifically going on the show to make themselves look like short-bus riding retards. If FOX or any of these networks want gimmicks, they'll call the WWE.
There's your reality check.

To each his own. American Idol is a talent show and can be very entertaining for some viewers. I think that they should take all the crappy re-runs of shows like The Golden Girls and Star Trek off the air but I don't think it would be fair to the elderly and the geeks of this country.

I respect your feelings and understand your pain about reality shows... every one of them ..except American Idol, I happen 2 like that show even though I no it is rigged and sometimes super fake but it is entertainment.

It's because unlike you and me the rest of America doesn't have interesting enough lives they have to watch other people live out their lives.
