My female friend confided to me this weekend that she deep down wishes that her children were the same race as herself. She has 3 sons 9, 7 and 3 and their dad is black and she is white. She says that she loves her kids regardless of their color but she now regrets having children outside her race. She was in her teens when she had the first two, but has had many failed relationships with black men and she says that most white men won't date her and accept her kids. Is this a common feeling for people that have children outside their race but still love their kids? Will this feeling pass? I don't know what to say to her?

Well I was born on this planet. Thanks alot! Now that my furry butt is here, how can I control all these random elements?

Lightning may strike my dog, a bus could run over my girlfriend, and my friend could slip on an icy sidewalk and get a concussion so he can't remember that he owes me 300 bucks!

Someone could choke on a corndog. A viral infection might overtake my parents or an infected tooth might interfere with my neighbor's happiness.

A car might run over a squirrel or a goose in Switzerland today. TODAY!!! I am nowhere NEAR Switzerland!!!!!

How can I just sit here and be while all this potential exists for misery and human suffering? How can I control it all without getting exhausted and in my weary state, wander out in front of a milk truck?

i was watching an old episode of CSI and the killer guy was angry at teenage drama blah, blah, blah. anywho, the guy was peeved because the kids had tortured him in H.S. by wrapping him in duck tape and shoving him in a locker. they said it took hours to remove the tape and had to do skin grafts... i know this is only a show, but could this happen? why? to be funny, i once duck taped my little bros leg (he is very hairy) and ripped it off (he wanted cigs, i had $, he owed me a laugh, it was fair, don't point fingers!!!!) and nothing happened to him..... i even pushed it on there really good! hmm???

burglar has just made it into the house he's intending ransacking, and he's looking around for stuff to steal. All of a sudden, a little voice pipes up, "I can see you, and so can Jesus!"

Startled, the burglar looks around the room. No one there at all, so he goes back to his business.

"I can see you, and so can Jesus!"

The burglar jumps again, and takes a longer look around the room. Over in the corner by the window, almost obscured by curtains, is a cage in which sits a parrot, who pipes up again, "I can see you, and so can Jesus!"

"So what," says the burglar, "you're only a parrot!"

To which the parrot replies, "Maybe, but Jesus is a rottweiler!"
